New mortgage terms in Cyprus

All mortgage terms in Cyprus are strictly controlled by the Central Bank of Cyprus.

As of today, the central bank has now raised the minimum contribution by the purchasers for mortgage applications to 40%, i.e.60% loan to value.

The previous 20% minimum contribution remains only for persons living in Cyprus permanently on the day of application,
which is classified as a person who resides over 184 days a year and also taxed in The Republic of Cyprus
